Editorial Services

As a published writer experienced in reading and editing the work of others, I am offering my editorial services to writers of literary fiction. I have interned under Robert Stewart, past editor of New Letters, and Whitney Terrell, co-host of Fiction/Non/Fiction Podcast and the author of The Good Lieutenant. My fiction has appeared in LitMag, McNeese Review, Potomac Review, North American Review, Yemassee, and many other publications, and I earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2020.

For a flat rate, I will provide detailed feedback on the strengths of your work, as well as suggestions on where the narrative may be improved. This feedback will consider language, plot, characterization, style, and theme.

$20 – feedback for up to 4,000 words of flash or short fiction, or an excerpt of a novel (preferably the first chapter(s)).

Line Editing
For a flat rate, I will edit your work line-by-line, offering suggestions on grammar, spelling, word choice, and structure. I will also provide feedback on the subject, plot, characterization, style, and theme of the work.

$50 – substantive line editing for up to 4,000 words of flash or short fiction, or an excerpt of a novel (preferably the first chapter(s)).

Note: Please only utilize this service for works of literary fiction. While I appreciate the value of genre fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, I believe I do not have the skills necessary to edit these works.
